Aviva, an important IKEA supplier decided to hire Wincon for a fast track general contractor contract in order to build its new state of the art, 7000 sqm building for the wood panel production unit in Sighetu Marmatiei, Romania. The building structure is prefabricated concrete columns with pre-engineered metal beams and purlins on top. Sandwich panels PIR insulated for the exterior walls and roof. Underground monolith concrete water tank and pump hose was provided under the production floor, in order to make maximum use of the construction land available. Monolith concrete wood-dust silo and filters platform was done, using for the first time in Romania the Staxo shoring tower system from Doka.
